Barcelos Tourism

Academic Project: rebranding of the Barcelos Tourism.

The goal was to bridge cultural tradition and contemporary visual language. To capture the region’s vibrant spirit, the identity pairs hand-drawn typography with a color palette inspired by the iconic Rooster of Barcelos, and it is complemented by custom digital icons that represent local cultural events.

The new identity adapts seamlessly across a number of different physical formats.

Beyond the essential stationery, this system extends to tourism-focused collateral, including an engaging, user-friendly map packed with fun local facts.

The tourism post is located in the city center, on the Camino de Santiago.

Each merchandising product was designed to be inclusive and purposefully practical for pilgrims walking the Camino.

Design is thinking made visual.
